In some way my earlier message got mutulated, second try.....If the main object is to eliminate the effect of g2 being non-linear "secondary anode" then g2 should be connected directly anode. If g2 has a certain amount of non-linearity in catching electrons the anode must have the inverse of that non-linearity because the number of electrons passing g1 must be the same as the sum of electrons reaching g2, g3 and anode. When using pentode g3 will catch some electrons so connect g3 to anode as well.
In many tubes the Vg2 limit is not a breakdown voltage but it's specified to prevent g2 from exceeding maximum power dissipation. This specification is given with Vg2 at a constant voltage this allows for Va smaller than Vg2. Large Ig2 and power dissipation occurs when Va is smaller than Vg2. When a pentode/tetrode is triode strapped Vg2=Va so Ig2 is relatively small so Vg2 can be much higher before maximum dissipation is reached.
I've run triode strapped pentodes with a Vg2max=300V at 650V without any problems for years.
