I actually had one bread boarded for awhile Zig and it didn't sound too bad. But everyone kept telling me the 845 needed more juice to sound it's best. I gave Grovers amp a try because it could be adapted to 750-800 volts and I didn't want the special problems that going over a grand with the B+ can give. Short version is I liked the sound much better and never went back to the lower voltage version. But I guess you could say this is still a lower volt version than most.
