As a novice to electronics DIY, I was looking for a resource for how to assemble a schematic.I understand the symbols used, but not how to develop an actual electronic system using the schematic. What I mean to say is, how are components connected and what are they "mounted" on in a typical DIY project?
I have used a breadboard as well as soldering a few wires together in my time.
Looking at inventory of DIY sites, it seems to me that a terminal strip could be used for components whereas transformers could be mounted directly to a chassis.
Lastly, "grounding" seems to be a complicated field that I could be served to read up on. On paper / breadboard it's a simple 0 ref point, but I think "star grounding schemes" seem like something more.
