To generalised, Doc., far too generalised a statement!

1/ "Don't use a 6DJ8" - I say BS to that as they can work wonderfully - but it must be used CORRECTLY - not as if it were a low gM tube in a regular audio circuit . Then, I agree, they don't work very well.

2/ Don't use a CF - I agree 100% if you if it's a regular CF - but a SLCF is fantastically transparent and wonderfully musical - and goes right back to the application advice and theory in Valley & Wallman. Link below. It looks complex but if you want low output Z and extreme bandwisth - it sings!
