Wow dave, that's an interesting thought about the sum and difference artifacts. If it is one's goal is to eliminate/minimize them then having the two sides commit entirely different sins would be the way to do it. Having one side commit virtually no sins at all certainly helps. :-)

p.s. As you know, I agree that in this application the 'ct choke' works as neither a ct choke or an autoformer, but as a combined grid choke and inverting interstage. It's the only reasonable way to look at it. But we've been through all of that in the past. :-)
