And it still has the original tip! I haven't used it every day by any means, but every time I've used it I've made sure to keep the tip properly tinned. Also, always use true soldering sponges, not just a kitchen sponge. I was always told that a kitchen sponge has sulfur in it that will attach the tip.I love my hakko 926 (I think it's a 926.....).
