Hi ,
To cut a long story short , these battery soldering irons are intended for people who do not use a soldering iron regularly . I can see that for someone like yourself who only makes a few interconnects a year it is an ideal tool . These are not intended as 'professional' tools for replacing components in-situ . For the rest of us who build , restore and modify amps on a regular basis , the proper tool for the job (a real soldering iron!) would be usedps You have never cited sources apart from the RDH so don't go round trying to tell me to read your posts hunting for info that is not there
thanks
