ASC and GE will tell you different things...ASC sticks with the 1.41X rule, while GE says a 660VAC can take 1000
VDC, which is pretty close to the rule....The real question is what surge can the caps take, and how does this affect their lifespan??? Using a 370VAC as 600VDC may work, but what are the max conditions the cap will see at tunr-on, and how long will it last would be my concern.
