I've used Scott LK72, Eico HF20, Dynaco ST70 outputs with Sovtec 6B4Gs with very good results. On a ST70 chassis I was able to get 28watts out of a pair of 6B4Gs biased at 450v 50 ma for, yes that's right, 22 watts on each plate. It sounded great and I ran it like that for a few months then switched to a new design for 18 watts on the plates.A person can get good results from 4300 to 6600 with little to worry about. There are many vintage junk units for a person to work with.
