Thanks for the tips. I do this alone, and it has been a while since I learned anything useful.

I always use atoms and orange drops for m/i amps, so that's good to hear. And, I've got a pile of them at the moment.

I'll try the film resistor trick this weekend. I've got the portaflex on the bench right now, and the replacement p/t is $200. It would be nice if I didn't have to replace it a 2nd time. The owner is a big dude, and only so-so friendly.

Any tips on choosing a fuse?
