Voltages Fine - But Another Problem

150.104.199.69

Thanks guys - I got the voltage problem solved. One of the caps in the bias circuit was previously replaced with a higher value so I put the original value back in. The other bias cap I had replaced but I did screw up and put it in wrong. Got that fixed and voltages are again very close with the exception of C2 A&B. C2A is listed as 295v and is 235v. C2B is listed as 240v and is 286v. I came to the conclusion that the Sams Schematic has these two mixed up since all the voltages on the tube pins are reasonably close. So voltages are OK. Another problem though. When I hooked up the preamp there was a hum that started fairly loud and then started to go down. When I wiggled one of the inputs to the amp the fuse blew. I figure there must be a short in the RCA jacks. Would that cause a fuse to blow?? I'm planning to replace the jacks. Anything else I should suspect or check?? . . . Charlie
