Yes, I replaced the KT88s with GE 6550As without changing anything else. I don't have photos of those amps anymore. I made two wooden frames with 1/8" thick aluminum plates for top and bottom covers. Not the prettiest sight to see. I think I spent about $150 - $180 each (parts only).
