Hi ,
Iron cored chokes are a must to get the inductance required . For instance in my linestage I use a 270mH 3 ohm first choke into a 47,000uF reservoir cap and another choke after that as the isolator . In the case of the poster's query re the type 30 I'd suggest 1H chokes , try finding an air cored inductor with a value anywhere near that !!!cheers
