Hi PeterP.
First this circuit I use is a modified Mullard 5-20 with 6J5 input tube direct coupled to the phase inverter ( 6SN7 ).
the amp use Star grounding and all back to the first filter capacitor . the power cord earth is earthed right where it enter the chassic .
the input impedance is 240k with 3.3k gird stopper .
