I am blowing fuses on my preamp (a custom built job). I can get it to start-up with a .5 amp slow blow but sometimes it starts up, sometimes it blows the fuse. It will even blow a 1 amp fast acting fuse on start-up which is a large fuse than I should have in the circuit anyway. Once it gets going there are no problems, even with the .5 amp fuse, and is fine until the next time I have to turn it on.A thermistor is an option but time delay seems to be the method of choice to slow down the B+. Problem is I don't know what one is or how to actually construct it. Any advice or web sites that will show how one works?
