The point...I was trying to pick a decent resistor to use in higher power applications. I'd like to use industrial (read: Mouser stock) resistors for those tasks, but there are so many different options that it makes the uninitiated head spin - even among specific compositions. Heck, among the Vishay WW's alone there are several different varieties to choose from.I keep hearing that the Hammond OPTs are not as great as some others. I've tried to source other brands but haven't had much luck finding 40% UL taps among them.
If I remove the 47ohm resistors, won't the voltage rise a little higher than one would want for the tubes involved?
