Please critique my choice of parts for this amp

I'm placing orders this week for parts for a few projects, one of which is the amp by Gingertube that is shown in the attached photos. He has posted this schematic several times, so I'm sure it's OK to repost it.

I basically want to be sure that I'm not making any fundamentally bad decisions with my choice of parts. The goal here is to build this amp using a good combination of relatively inexpensive, yet well chosen parts.

I wouldn't be adverse to springing for a few botique parts here and there (a well-placed tantalum resistor, for example).

I know that a lot of building is experimentation. I just want to put together a good starting point.

The question marks show areas where I'm not yet sure what composition of part would be best suited for the task.
