Hi,It sure is a high mu triode. A "zero bias" triode s well.
This means it is meant to be driven positive on grid and so uses lots of input power - and is more or less locked to class B2.
This sort of necessitates a high voltage power tube driving through a IT with as little output impendance as possible while maintaining the voltage swing. If one wanna go adveturous why not ground the grid and drive via IT on the cathode instead? it input impendance is more uniform there compared to the huge "zero passing" change in input grid.I guess - given ample driving curcuit - it could be made to sound very clean with an 10-12K out transformer.
Not the usual off the shelf stuff but not esoteric stuff eighter as it is quite handy as a modulator curcuit tube.mvh /Pär
