Re: why no decoupling?

hi jim

problem is that each stage requires same voltage
so i am looking at splitting supply rail 3 ways
with LC or RC stage each
which was why i was looking at these low DCR psus
at the moment i have decoupled using RC stages
-100R 47uF- with the resulting drop in voltage

i have been looking at low DCR psus because my power amp uses something very approaching low DCR:
5H 27R > 100uF > 7H 27R > 220uF
with very good results

yes i have modelled these psus
including one someone posted for a phono stage
and they don't look good to me
but i figured that if fairly cheap and cheerful
i would like to see if they work for myself
i have used shunt regs - both valve and SS
just wanted some fun before i settle with the same old.....
