I have just such a filter being built. I ran my original configuration through PSUDii and found some foolish behaviour. I don't trust all of PSUDii's answers, they seem to neglect stuff like core resistance.I hope to be away from extreme utilization of parts that would allow such real effects to dominate the response. I'd rather have a supply that is behaving more like an ideal representation.
Either way, I have tweaked component values within the limits of my parts box. 10Hy-15uF-2.5Hy-220uF. Resistance is so far from what got proposed for Low-Fi it is good for a good laugh.
So, for an EI cored inductor, how much like a capacitor do you think it will be like where it is called upon to do 'RF Stripping'?
