The correct answer, MY answer, is, of course NO not NEVER, but generally speaking they are usually higher than 15 ohms DCR , ( more like 40 to 80 ohms DCR ), and generally speaking they ARE most certainly "sonically mid fi" in my book compared to what COULD be achieved with ten ohms or less . But its not just the power transformer's DCR either, DCR of Ls and rectifiers figure-in and matter too ..... a whole lot !!
