As an amateur myself, I have to ask why you want to tie the cathodes of the driver and CF sections together, above ground potential? I don't see how that can be a good idea, but it sure is unorthodox. As BBeck inferred, you want the highest impedance possible between the cathode of the CF and ground, for one thing. (Even a CCS if possible.) On the other hand, taken by itself the 0.1uF cap is way way too small for a proper bypass of the 8K cathode resistor on the driver stage. I'm just sticking my neck out, so don't necessarily take my word for it.
