The UF4007 is actually a pretty good part. Quite fast in it's own regard. Why is it you think a faster diode will help? A soft turn-off can be better than fast. Schottkys come with their own problems, too. Like reverse leakage.Don't assume this will be a sonic improvement. Listen carefully.
