The best amp tube for starting and modding is always going to be a dynaco st70 in most instances..WHY?? You can think of a dynaco st70 as a small block chevy or ford motor..There are parts all over the place and they are cheap and avaiable.Just like a 65 mustang,you can get every part for an st70 from the transformers right down to every little screw or nut..You can also put a better board in them with better and more conventional driver tubes as well as a new power supply or just about any customization you want to do.You can even chrome them like a street rod.
