Disconnect the wire that presently goes to the input jack center terminal & place a 47K resistor in-between that wire & the input jack center terminal. Connect one end-terminal of your pot to the 47K resistor & that wire (not the jack side of resistor). Connect other end-terminal of the pot to pot center terminal & then to input jack outer terminal. Done. This method requires no change to driver board. As you view pot with terminals at bottom & shaft facing you, the Right hand terminal is the one connected to 47K resistor; the Left hand terminal & center terminal are connected together & to input jack outer terminal. IOW, input jack to 47K resistor to 100K pot to driver board with pot shunting to circut Common.
