You said yr op-amp pre-preamp sounds better than your tube preamp???
How? Have you realkly tried it using demanding music with huge dynamic swings & at very loud acoustical levels, where IMO, many op-amps commonly fall short. Average low levels with low dynamics can't tell much on an amp.
