If I can figure out the gauges of the primary and secondary wire - it would be nice if they're the same - then I can calculate by DC resistance the number of windings in the secondary section relative to the entire primary, and then I can calculate the counter current required (opposite to the quiescent current of the output pair in SET configuration). Another possibility is to actually use a Hall sensor - I think that's right, a distant memory - measure the flux induced by the output quiescent current, increase the opposing current in the secondary section until it nulls.Thanks!!! This is undoubtedly a much easier method than cutting out the old core and replacing it with gapped layers of nickel alloy tape................
