Hi ,
Before adding extra capacitors , check your wiring , hum would indicate a hum loop . If you had inadequate smoothing capacitance , you would hear a buzzing sound . It may also be an idea to ensure all heaters sit on an elevated voltage , floating heaters can cause hum . Hope this helps :)cheers
