If I work out the figures from the example given in the website reference but for a 0D3 then:
Vin say 200v
Vout = 150v
Imax = 40mA
Imin = 5mA
Imean = 22.5mA
Iload = 100mAThis gives Rs series resistor of 400 ohms.
Question - how is Iload, the current drawn, 100mA??? Is this supposed to be the current drawn by the valve stage to be regulated? For a small input tube this is more like 10mA? And in any case, I thought the maximum current permissible with the 0D3 was 40mA?
What am I missing here?Plus, using keto's calculations of 300v in and 25mA load, I get a series resistor of 3.16K. It's the load resistance that is 6k. Again, what's happening here? Andy
