Thanks Dave for saying that. In fact, I don't see the mystery in this low DCR topic at all. Any analog power supply designer, especially those with audio sensibilities, will seek as low a DCR value as can be sought given budget and weight constraints, etc. It's always been a goal for audio. I thought we all knew and accepted that all along. Even the high-end solid-state power amp designers have usually chosen much larger transformers than would be needed merely for power rating alone. The less PS sag, the better the sound. Why is this such a big deal? If Jeff has contributed anything here, it's that he insists that DCR shouldn't be merely low, it should be extremely low. OK, I accept that as a valid perspective. But the technobabble and third-party quoting is really tedious.
