Reel to reel, as someone already mentioned, went out of production BECAUSE of the cost in the first place and at that time, it really wasn't that bad (at least I thought it wasn't bad). I have several store bought tapes from yester years that I have held onto and they still sound GREAT.
CD's and iPod are NOT the way in the light for sound at all but the wife and the kids Love em' so we're stuck with em as far as mass market goes. Vinyl has made an Amazing comeback but it's not as good as those MAG TAPES at all. If we could just get the cost down...I think we could have something GREAT on our hands. Get more people interested.
