In many of the Nak decks the idler wheel is a cinch to replace. And there are places like ESL who list on ebay selling just the idler tire. ESL also has the procedure to replace the tire on their website, unless of course you are unlucky enough to have a more complicated deck like the RX-505 and the idler wheel placement/location 'from Hell'. In any event, if ESL does not post the procedure for replacing your idler tire, expect a tough job-I think they even tell you that on their site.

What I'm saying is; don't throw the baby out with the bath water if you have to replace the idler wheel on your Nak every few yrs, because they are most likely worth the effort.
