Of all my tapes, Scotch 111, 202, 206, Ampex 406, 456, the Agfa and Basf have held up the best as far as shedding oxide. Scotch 111 has held up well also. When Scotch brought out the 202 series, the binder was changed I think because the particles were smaller. Don't have any scientific evidence to back this up, I just don't experience squeal with the Agfa and Basf product. Ball Brothers should make avaliable the dry lubricant and a way to apply it to the old tapes rather than this baking madness. Ray Hughes
