Why not go for the real thing? Not only is availability much better, but the sound quality and reliability is exponentially better. And oh yeah...if watching spinning reels is your thing, with my idea, you can do that from across the room. With the thread starter, to get that aesthetic effect, you'd have to pretty much sit maybe a foot away from the deck and stare at it a-la "short bus" kids.
