It is true that Teac Cobbalt is one of the rarest
but there is one that is rarer is the Open reel tape TEAC NT-50
This is realy a extremly rare tape.
It seem it has no plastic that cover the reel (is a open-tape)
you can easy slide out the reels and remplace them.
There is a story behind this tape here:

(story is in japanesee but using Worldingo translator you can translate to english easy)
Not sure if anyone here has owned it
to do a review of it.
I would also be intressed buying it
and this tape is indeed worth money so is not expected to be cheap.
I just missed it on ebay it was selling 2 tapes for 50 dollar.
This one and The Teac gold one is tapes i have to get
no matter what.
Oh The story in japanesee say the Open reel TEac tape
is from 1986.
