Maxell tape question

Reel to reel, cassette and other analogue tape formats.

I have used maxell XL II, XL IIS and now see a maxell MS 90 PRO. I have a "new nak xl-5" deck. Can anyone tell me the difference between these formulations and which one would be recommended? Thanks Norm
