When Tascam launched the DV-RA-1000, I thought that the machine had descended from heaven. But, as in all first-generation devices, I have held back. If only it had a self-contained drive of some sort and some editing facility built-in. Then, of course, I would jump for one.
For the moment, I am happy with the Alesis and within the confines of what I use it to accomplish, it does what I want it to.
