Interesting views. I have generally found all tapes from major manufacturers to be built for the long haul and have both SA-Xs and XLIIs from the early 80s that sound as if they had been recorded yesterday.(And tons of others from all generations as well)One thing is for sure. They are going to outlive all my CD-Rs. But that's another issue.
