Rec Out connected all the time? Part Deux

OK, I think I get the picture. It appears to me that it is a bigger problem with tubes than with SS if you leave it connected all the time, probably an impedance issue, also a lot of concern for removing and re-inserting cables. Here's a fix that works for me. Use a 2 pole selector switch with 1 more position than you have recording devices. Rec Out to the switch common, positions to each recording device, leave one position on the switch empty. When your done recording, switch to the empty position, it will still be open as if there was nothing connected. You can go nuts making this box with high quality connectors, wire and a selector switch. You don't need a big box and a set of .5 meter cables from the Rec Out to the box should be just fine. Just a thought.
