B77 is a nice $2,000 machine, and there are thousands of them in all conditions to chose from.

But it lacks many features you expect in an expensive deck, such as tape tension control, slow wind, large reels, flutter roller, and on and on.

It was designed as a low cost alternative to expensive Studers, and today you can buy two clean Studers for that $16K price - two Ferraris for the price of one Chevy.
