It was not enough for them to throw us off by making XLR pin 3 hot, they also made the power plug pin negative!Fortunately, I saw the guy mentioned this fact in his video, so I was already prepared!
Now, it all depends on how smart they were. Sometimes people put in the reverse polarity protection, so let's hope it is there, and your unit comes back to life, so you and I could share stories!
Regarding the batteries in TC-770 - I already bought some C cells. They actually have two separate sections in there: one with 6 cells, and one with 8. One supplies the power to the drive, the other - to electronics.
