Nakamichi ZX9 bias adjustment?

Hi all,
I've just recorded my first tape in awhile on the ZX9. I used a Fuji KII high bias. When I was calibrating I could not get the left channel to equal the right channel bias by turning the bias knobs. Is there something wrong with my deck and can this be fixed? The tape sounds great though and I have not noticed any difference between the left and right channels.
