Im considering this because they offer a decent price on the deck, which is half of what I paid new for the Sony tape deck many years ago. I know DAT tapes have issues, but I'm willing to deal with that. This is to be used in an audio system for listenning, and not so much for making master recordings of live stuff. I just want something better then 16 bit CD players and still retain removable media. And as mentioned the price is good.
