I think if it were me, I would just use a good alignment tape from a reputable manufacturer. It maight be a feasable idea, but not knowing the head gap on the cassette adapter, that could be a make-or-break variable. And I'd want to use something that was more than "minimally aligned" to set up a deck. With a good alignment tape, the tape travels a linear path and the track width is proper, with a cassette adapter, who knows?Cheers,
