Most manufacturers use whatever color they like, the only given, most of the time, is they use different colors for rec and pb. Sometimes the outer wires are the same color and only the actual, internal wire connections to the head are different colors. Some use the same colors, others vary, what a pain. The best way to track these down is with a schematic if you have one. Another way is to try and follow the wires through the maze of other wires. If you have deck were the wires are not connected to the head or you are replacing a head, a schematic is the only way. I hope this helps, yeah right.
