I think your/my definitions of "easy" and "difficult" are a little different! lol

Any time one has to open up the machine, remove a circuit card, remove components and replace them along with a pot, and rewire the internals of the headphone jack contacts, to me, that's not "easy" - that's a pain in the butt. "Easy" is soldering an XLR connector to a mic cable.

Jacques' variable speed control gave him a LOT more than +/- 10% to boot.
