We did have an issue with the chat client and I'd changed to a different widget. Then that one went south and I found a new Java client a month ago or so. Have you tried that one?

It works fine for me. You should just have to accept to download the Java and then if you're logged in to the Asylum, you'll get connected with your moniker.
