I bought essentially my entire system from Audiogon classifieds. I drove to the seller's homes for three of the main pieces. Not local either. I drove from New Hampshire to NYC twice and to Stamford,CT once,almost to NY. The others Were cables, not cheap purchaces themselves and I relied on the overwhelming preponderance of positive feedback to decide to paypal the sellers. I have since read here Audiogon appears to refuse to allow negative feedback to be posted though i'm not sure that's actually an unwitten policy. If it were then I'd have a problem using them again.
