Re: Ebay auction- A Winter shill in the air?

"Now, the item is relisted. The auction ended at 6PM last evening, but unless the finsihing time can be set, the new listing with a "Buy It Now" apparently started at 4PM - or before the previous auction ended."

The new listing should contain information as to when it was posted. And last-minute bids aren't necessarily shills. Often, they are "snipes" generated by programs that automatically enter a bid 10 seconds before the closing time. If a seller does not want to sell an item, he can wihdraw it at any moment -- even though a bidder cannot retract bids in the final 12 hours.

And if you really want informed opinions, you should include the eBay listing numbers for both the completed listing and the new one. Otherwise, all you'll get are guesses.
