Apropos a recent inquiry by theaudiohobby, I propose we create a repository of information on shills who operate as false bidders or sock puppets here on Audio Asylum, and elsewhere in the new or resale audio world, e.g., Audiogon, eBay, etc.
Attached is a more comprehensive definition of the word shill. The essential thing is that shills prey on buyers from behind the Veil of Maya.
